The Mirage is Mitsubishi’s compact hatchback, and for 2021, it has received a refreshed exterior style with a more modern look up front and in the back. Besides this outward refresh, the Mirage will carry over to the 2022 model year without any significant changes. Here’s a look at what you can expect from the 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage.

Engine

The small Mirage gets its power from a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine that puts out 76 horsepower. This is plenty for the compact hatchback, which will easily zip around city streets. The base Mirage has a five-speed manual transmission, but you can opt for the CVT, which comes standard with the rest of the trims. Front-wheel drive comes standard.

The Cabin

Inside, there’s room for five in the Mirage. The front seat have plenty of cushioning and lots of legroom, and the cargo area is surprisingly spacious, with 17 cubic feet of storage with the rear seats up. This can open up to 47 cubic feet if you fold the seats down. Heated front seats come in the top-level SE, and standard tech features in the cabin include a 7-inch touch screen, a four-speaker stereo, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Safety Features

Every 2022 Mirage will come with a rearview camera, a full suite of air bags, forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, and a pedestrian detection system. Stepping up to the top-level SE will get you a lane-departure warning system and automatic high beam headlights.

The 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage is compact, easy to drive, and offers the tech and safety features you need.

Today’s car buyers have come to expect a variety of safety features in 2021 models. Mitsubishi has responded to this by including several driver-assistance systems that will help prevent accidents. Here are a few of the most important ones.

Blind-Spot Assistance

This year’s Mitsubishi models include Blind-Spot Warning, which senses when another vehicle approaches the driver’s blind spot, then turns on a light on the corresponding side mirror as a warning. If the turn signal is on, which means the driver might be planning to change lanes, the system will beep to let the driver know it’s not safe to do so.

There’s also Active Blind-Spot Assist, which detects vehicles in surrounding lanes, issues a warning then applies the brakes as needed to prevent a collision.

Forward-Collision Mitigation

Another helpful feature is Forward-Collision Mitigation with pedestrian detection. This system senses cars, pedestrians, or other obstacles in front of the vehicle and issues a warning. If the driver does not apply the brakes, the FCM system will do so.

Seven-Air-Bag Safety System

Despite having state-of-the-art driver-assistance systems in the vehicle, accidents do still occur. Mitsubishi offers every possible means of protecting all passengers in the vehicle with seven airbags. These include airbags in the front dash and sides, and also under the driver’s side dashboard.

If you want to test drive one of the safest vehicles on the market today, stop in at Don Herring Mitsubishi. Our staff will be happy to explain how every safety feature works and how it will protect you and your family.

Three Music Venues

Afterward, the music performances begin in two different locations: the Convention Center Arena in downtown Dallas and the Naomi Bruton Theatre. The third venue is at the Office of Cultural Affairs, which will feature a lineup of promising young artists.

The Performers

The Jazz Festival features over 26 performers and groups, including well-known celebrities and up-and-coming acts. On Friday, the Dallas Hot Band opens for Erykah Badu.
