The Mitsubishi Outlander is new and improved for the 2022 model year. This three-row SUV has upgraded from top to bottom, including a more comfortable interior, a new exterior look, and upgraded technology features. Here’s a look at the 2022 Outlander.

The Power

The 2022 Outlander comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gas engine that puts out 181 horsepower. It works with Mitsubishi’s continuously variable automatic transmission, and drivers can keep the standard front-wheel drive or opt for all-wheel drive. The new Outlander has an improved steering system, handles better than the previous model, and will reach 60 mph from zero in just over nine seconds.

The Technology

Mitsubishi upgraded the touch screen in the latest Outlander, and you can get it with an integrated navigation system. Most trims have wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an 8-inch touch screen comes standard along with two USB ports, and a six-speaker stereo. A 9-inch touch screen is optional, along with a wireless charging pad, voice controls, satellite radio, HD radio, extra USB ports, and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster.

The Safety Features

The 2022 Outlander comes standard with a long list of advanced driver aids. A blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert are both standard, along with front and rear collision warning, automatic braking, automatic high beams, pedestrian detection, and a drowsy driver monitor. Optional safety systems include front parking sensors, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and road sign recognition.

The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander has some impressive upgrades from the previous model. It handles better, has more tech, and has a more upscale cabin.
