As a plug-in hybrid, the popular 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV once again offers good looks and practicality to back them up. This SUV’s popularity is certainly justified.

Trim Levels

The five-passenger plug-in hybrid SUV comes in two trim levels, SEL and GT.

Standard features include 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, a power liftgate, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, and heated side mirrors. The GT trim adds LED headlights, a heated steering wheel, dual AC power outlets, a sunroof, and adaptive cruise control. The GT premium interior package add-on includes premium leather seats and some black interior treatments.

Performance

Both trims are powered by a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine. The engine offers 117 horsepower joined by double 60-kilowatt electric motors at each axle making it an all-wheel drive. The combined output is 190 horsepower and 137 pound-feet of torque. The electric power is stored in a 12-kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

Safety

Enjoy driving in one of the safest Outlander PHEV’s. Safety features include forward collision mitigation with pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, and land departure warning.

Multi camera’s help you to maneuver in and out of traffic easily. The rear-cross traffic alert system warns if a vehicle approaches from being or the side while you are backing up.

Available LED headlights and fog lights offer good visibility even in bad weather, such as rain, fog, or snow. Rain-sensing wipers, activated at the first drop of rain, match the frequency of the falling rain so you can keep your eyes focused on the road.
